For the last four years, former Trump campaign advisor Carter Page has found himself at the center of the now-disproven Trump-Russia collusion allegations. Last year, Inspector General Michael Horowitz found that the FBI’s applications for warrants to spy on Carter Page were riddled with serious errors. Most notably, the applications were all missing a key piece of exculpatory evidence the FBI was aware of—that Carter Page had worked with the CIA to report on his contacts with Russian intelligence officers. Former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith recently pled guilty to altering an email from a CIA liaison.
