What do we mean when we say fifth-generation fighter? When it comes to fighter jets, the modern world is currently in a transition. The combat fighters that we all know and love over the years are reaching the end of their operational lifespans. There have been many update programs for some of these aircraft but the Air Force has canceled these expensive upgrades as it is now more feasible to build an entirely new platform thanks to major advances in technology.
