According to polls, the percent of people who identify as LGBT keeps increasing. Is this, as activists say, because people are merely more comfortable “coming out” as LGBT? Or, is there more to the story? Research on what shapes human sexuality suggests that genetics, or being “born gay,” is only part of what determines our preferences.
