Al Jazeera: Brazil's Lula testifies against corruption allegations

As long as Al Jazeera isn’t talking about terrorism, they are a decent news channel and about on a level with the BBC in quality and MSNBC in politics.  Which means pretty left wing obvilusly, but they still do a good job at times…Former Brazilian president Lula da Silva appeared in court to testify over his alleged entanglement in a sprawling corruption scandal that has thrown the country’s political class into tumult.
Lula, 71, is the highest-profile defendant in the “Operation Car Wash” probe into a multi-billion-dollar bribery scheme in which politicians and officials allegedly handed out public contracts in exchange for kickbacks.
